Our trip to bulgaria came to an end and what better adventure closure than visiting its capital,Sofia, a cosmopolitan city that we loved from the beginning to the end in a tour, more than intense, not to miss the most remarkable. But this you already know, we had already told you in our travel stories so we focused on accommodation where our goal was to be central for the short time we had. Here you have our already traditional review about the Niky Hotel in Sofiaand we answer the eternal question of where to sleep in the city with allour opinion and experience, as usual

We anticipate that this would be another of the successes, of the many, that we have had on this trip. The Niky Hotel is the first hotel-suite in Sofia, in response to modern requirements for business and pleasure and helped us say goodbye to Bulgaria with a good taste in our mouth.

Hotel Niky in Sofia, next to the main boulevard Vitosha

He Niky hotel (three star)It is located in the center of Sofia, in a quiet street near the main shopping centers and best known shops and the boulevard Vitosha, the main shopping street of Sofia.

Actually the street is something shocking at first since you go from the hustle to absolute silence but, as we saw in the article of the what to see in Sofia in 1 day, with an unbeatable location

Its appearance is simple as you enter by its reception but, inside, it has all the necessary services.

Places near the Niky Hotelwe can find…

- Lto Alexander Nevski Church, One of the largest Orthodox churches in the world, the dome of the church is 45 meters high, and the bell reaches 50 meters.
- The Russian Church of St. Nicholas, whose building is of great architectural value.
- He Archaeological Institute and its Museum, which was established in 1892, this museum is part of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
- He Ballet and National Opera, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
- A 15 minute walk is the square Slaveikov, National Palace of Culture and the Iván Vazov National Theater.

The stay can be in any of the 26 rooms, in principle quite small. Each of them has a mini work area with telephone, internet access, TV, and as a mini bar a box with all kinds of teas and infusions apart from coffee and a water heater to prepare it.

With fair furniture and equipped with the necessary services, including air conditioning, it stands out especially for its cleaning and tranquility where it is easy to get a good night's sleep.

He bath It has everything you need as the shower, this one with screen (if my memory does not fail me it is the second hotel we found that has it, since the rest had the typical Bulgarian), hair dryer, magnifying mirror and clean. In short, quite complete.

Possibly, One of its added values is that Hotel Niky has a beautiful garden restaurant With the authentic Bulgarian style. The burning of wood in the fireplace, the fresh green, the rich menu, which includes international and Bulgarian cuisines, a selection of beers and wines, make the Niky restaurant-garden a great place to eat or dine, even for celebrations or family gatherings . Hotel guests also enjoy a 10% discount. We dine genie and for a price not exceeding 17 euros (2 people).

He breakfast is included In the price of the hotel. It is super complete, you can choose continental type or English type. It has a variety of things: sweets, pastries, cereals, as well as salty: eggs, tortillas, salads, sausages with tea, coffee and juice.

Verdict of the Niki Hotel in Sofia, our opinion

The price It is very good in relation to all the services provided. Depending on the type of room and season the stay can cost between 45 and 60 euros the night. Remember that we are in the capital of Bulgaria. You can check your dates in ...

Niki Hotel

As PROsIt highlights its central location, its friendly staff wherever they are and the amenities it provides but, above all, its beautiful restaurant with garden in the inner courtyard, very lively and with an excellent and varied menu.

As AGAINST We can say that the rooms are a bit small but they solve it with the rest of the services they provide.

Would we recommend it? Of course YES. The accommodation is perfect to spend a few days in Sofia and is an excellent option also to dine in its beautiful restaurant and with its delicious menu if you do not want to find another place or if you arrive exhausted from your tour. If we return to Sofia (hopefully because we loved Bulgaria) we would repeat without hesitation.
